Congratulations to Kathryn Bamforth, the first doctoral graduate from the fellowship programme funded by The Torbay Medical Research Fund (TMRF). The fellowship programme is an important partnership providing opportunities for academic research training and development while working.
Kathryn celebrated being awarded her PhD after six years part time study at the University of Plymouth. Kathryn is lead research AHP for the University of Plymouth and her PhD thesis explored Healthcare Professionals’ (HCPs) psychological wellbeing at work and patients experiences of care.
It has been hard work and required commitment, perseverance, and endurance but Kathryn’s passion and enthusiasm for research have helped carry her through and a very well-deserved award. Kathryn will now be applying her learning at work. Congratulations on this fantastic achievement, we are all incredibly proud of you.
