Calling all NMAHPS – Looking for a new research advisor to join the Torbay Medical Research Fund (TMRF)

The TMRF is a local independent charity supporting and funding research projects that benefit the local community and population.  Due to one of our non-medical research advisors stepping down, the TMRF is looking to recruit a replacement advisor.

As a research advisor you will help review research applications and provide professional and research expertise, advice and guidance to help TMRF Trustees make decisions on funding applications.

This is a voluntary role. You need to be a qualified nurse, midwife or allied health professional (NMAHP) with a proven record in research and interest in how research helps to improve the health and care of the people in Torbay and South Devon.

The commitment is 3 meetings a year (either remotely (MS Teams) or face to face (held at Torbay Hospital). The meetings start at 5.30pm and attendance will be for approximately 1-1.5 hours max.

If interested, please email a letter of application and CV to admin@tmrf.info for the attention of Sharon Austen (Chair). For more informal enquiries in the first instance, please contact Dr Fiona Roberts, TSDFT R&D Director and advisor to TMRF (fiona.roberts34@nhs.net).
